What is a Dry Barrel Hydrant?
Dry barrel hydrant is a type of hydrant having the main control valve between the footpiece and the bottom of the barrel is such way the hydrant body is empty and free of frozen problems.
To avoid damage or breakage, a small drain is located at the bottom of the barrel, and once the hydrant is closed it should drain the water.
In addition to this, they can incorporate a system that ensures watertightness in case of breakage due to mechanical damage.
